Projects for 2009:

The first project that the Reddam House early Act committee was the collection and distribution of Easter Eggs to 10 under privileged schools and crèches in the area.[5000 eggs collected]

We also take a group of 6 students to TEARS animal shelter in Hout Bay every week on a Friday afternoon where they play with the cats and walk the dogs, as well as to brush the animals and generally make them feel loved.

In May the Early Act group also helped with the dinner and Show that was put on for the elderly and the primary school from the Westlake community. The Early act group sat with children on their laps, took them to the toilet and generally kept them entertained and really enjoyed helping them. They also packed a box full of goodies for each of the 300 children.

The next project that is underway at the moment is the collection of wool and spectacles. The wool is going to a group of ladies who are knitting blankets for Aids babies and the spectacles are going to a group called reach4sight who are giving them to underprivileged children who need them.
